Close passes…. We often complain when we are victims of close passes by cars, but it cuts both ways. When we are passing slower road users, walkers, horse riders or other cyclists, please give them warning you are approaching, and leave as much space as you would like to have when you are passed.
This is expected in the club’s code of contact.
Riders joining club runs do so entirely at their own risk.
Please respect any instructions from the ride leader.

Could You Be A Cycling Coach?
Solihull Cycling Club already has a great team of British Cycling-trained coaches who deliver group sessions, mainly at Tudor Grange Park, to develop our member’s cycling skills and fitness.
The sessions cater for young and old - beginner to elite. But we need more coaches.
The sessions, which take place on weekday evenings during the Spring and Summer, are greatly valued by members, and they have been the launch pad for successful cycling careers including World Champions and Pro Tour riders.
But they sometimes stretch our resources, and occasionally sessions have to be cancelled due to coach unavailability.
Would you like to join the team?
You can find out more here:

or email coaching@solihullcc.org.uk.
As a cycling club, we actively promote all aspects of cycling from social riding for pleasure and health, to racing and participation in organized competitive events.
Our younger members and youth are especially important to the club. We are lucky to have a good selection of coaches to help our younger members develop their skills and identify their strengths.
We now have 3 suppliers of Club clothing to suit every need. A wide range of items are available in men's, women's and children's specific sizes and fits.
Our latest kit supplier Kalas has been busy making lots of jerseys in our new recreational design, and the familiar race design which is registered for BC competitive events.
The first orders have been delivered and the second orders should be delivered in time for the AGM.
Our club magazine AWheel has been one of the main ways we let our diverse membership know what is going on in the club.
We have been looking for a new editor since Covid interrupted publication, and the good news is Steve O'Hara has stepped up. The first edition will appear as soon as Steve has enough material - so you know what to do.....
We welcome contributions from club members. Submit to editor@solihullcc.org.uk
Every year we recognize the achievements and contributions of our club members., at our annual prize giving dinner and celebration. Join the club and you may become a champion.

The idea of the circuit was the brainchild of Harry Reynolds. It was Harry’s vision to create a traffic free, safe environment where the club could build its next generation of champions under the guidance of a group of fully qualified British Cycling coaches belonging to the Solihull CC.
The circuit is approx 850 metres long, 5 metres wide with a 6 metres finishing straight down the middle of the top. The profile of the circuit is labelled as ‘testing’ as Tudor Grange Park slopes away towards the Norman Green Athletics centre.
